Privacy Policy
Noted is operated by Technify Pro ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use Noted at technifypro.com and through the Noted Siri shortcut, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password itself.
- What you log: the text of each entry you speak or type (for example, "Uber 23 on Amex"), and the details we extract from it: amount, category, account name, store, date, and any person you mention.
- Launch list: if you ask to be notified when our apps launch, we keep your email and which platform you chose, and use it only for that announcement. Email us to be removed.
- Settings: your time zone, account names and balances you enter, and categories you create.
- Basic technical data: IP address and request logs, used to keep the service secure and to prevent abuse.
We do not connect to your bank, credit cards, or any financial institution, and we never ask for those logins. Noted only knows what you tell it.
How Siri fits in
When you speak to Siri, Apple converts your voice to text on your device or Apple's servers under Apple's own privacy policy. The Noted shortcut then sends only that text to us. We never receive audio.
How we use it
- To save your entries, show your dashboard, and read back confirmations through Siri.
- To power Noted AI: understanding entries our standard rules can't read, answering questions you ask about your spending, and writing monthly insights. This runs on AI language models hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. For questions and insights, a summary of your recent totals is sent to the model. Your data is not used to train any model.
- To secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and contact you about your account or important changes.
We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use your spending to target ads.
Who processes it
Noted runs on Cloudflare (hosting, database, and AI processing) in the United States and other regions Cloudflare operates in. Google Fonts serves our typefaces. Each provider processes data only to run its service.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, your profile and all entries are erased from our live database right away. Backups expire on our host's normal schedule.
Your choices and rights
- Access and export: download every entry as a CSV file from Settings.
- Correct: edit any entry, account, or profile detail at any time.
- Delete: delete your account from Settings, or email us.
- Siri access: replace your Siri key from the Siri tab to disconnect any phone using the old one.
Depending on where you live (for example California, under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to know, delete, or correct your information, and to not be discriminated against for using them. Email us to make a request and we'll respond within the time the law requires.
Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2, and session and Siri keys are stored only as one-way hashes. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Children
Noted isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and email you before they take effect.
